Summer School 2026 In Review
The annual Sherry Music Academy Summer Camp took place in August 2026, once again at Wycombe Abbey School, and a rewarding time of music learning and holiday enjoyment was had by all. Masterclasses were delivered by visiting professor Simon Jones from the Royal Welsh College of Music, and by Wycombe Abbey Head of Strings Gonzalo Acosta, in the superb facilities of the UK’s leading girls’ school. The programme consisted of 1:1 lessons, chamber coaching, orchestral training, individual recitals, and workshops on different topics including Baroque music and orchestral playing etiquette. The week featured a Harry Potter-style House competition consisting of outdoor sports and games and a knowledge quiz, and culminated in another highly successful Gala Concert in the Archer Recital Hall, Wycombe.
